Happy first birthday, Pandora!

It's officially been one year since I published my debut novel, The Age of Pandora, and I have no idea how the time has gone so quickly. I spent five years working on Pandora and, despite being desperate to finish it and get the story out into the world, I really miss working on it, immersing myself in the world and spending time with the characters.

I'm so lucky that I can look back at the launch of Pandora with so much love. My family organised a surprise book launch party for me and I received lovely words and gifts from some of the people closest to me and those who helped bring Pandora to life. It was a surreal experience and the culmination of so many years of hard work, all to finally say that I was a published author.

Since publishing Pandora, it's been an interesting time. If I'm being completely honest, I most certainly haven't done as much marketing and content for Pandora as I'd originally wanted to. Life got busy and my motivation took a nosedive and Pandora potentially suffered a bit because of it. But I know there's always so much I can do to get this story out there and I don't intend to stop shouting about it.

So... what next?

Since Pandora, I have been busy editing and polishing my latest manuscript, The Storyteller's Collection. It's a completely different world to the Greek mythology landscape of Pandora but I've had so much fun building the world from scratch, playing around with new characters and weaving a tumultuous plot with, of course, a dash of swoon-worthy romance.

I'm just finishing up the final touches and then I'm soon going to be recruiting beta readers to get some reader feedback! It's always nerve-wracking sending a book to readers for the first time to await a verdict but I can't wait to invite people into this world.

While that happens and I begin the self-publishing process for Storyteller, I also have another story idea brewing... no rest for the wicked! I'm not a huge fan of outlining but I'll hopefully be working with my wonderful book coach, Andrea, soon on this which I'm unbelievably excited for.

To everyone who has bought and read and loved The Age of Pandora this past year, I so immensely grateful for your support - it means the world to me.

Chloe
